Description
About this set
Planet Earth and Moon in Orbit is a 526-piece LEGO Technic model of the Earth, Moon and Sun. Turn the crank and the Earth and Moon travel around the Sun, showing how orbits work. Markings for the months and moon phases help track where everything is through the year, and how rotation relates to the seasons.
It’s well suited to curious kids 10 and up who like space and science, and it’s handy for explaining orbits and gravity. LEGO is retiring it, so sealed copies will get harder to find as time goes by.
Highlights
- Hand crank drives the Earth and Moon orbits
- Month and moon phase markings
- Shows how rotation affects the seasons
- Helps explain orbits and Earth’s gravitational pull
