Description
About this set
The McLaren Formula 1 Race Car is a 1,434-piece LEGO Technic model of the car McLaren ran in the 2022 season. LEGO’s designers worked alongside McLaren Racing while both teams worked on their own versions of the car in parallel. The model has a V6 engine with moving pistons, plus steering, suspension and a differential, so the mechanics are as much fun as the looks.
Rated 18+, it’s aimed at adult builders and F1 fans who want a focused, detailed build and a display piece afterward. It captures one specific season’s car, which makes it a nice record of 2022. It’s retired, so sealed copies are getting harder to find.
Highlights
- Model of McLaren’s Formula 1 car from 2022
- V6 engine with moving pistons
- Working steering, suspension and differential
- Developed alongside McLaren Racing designers
